The Destiny 2 community was sent into a frenzy over a brief glimpse several baby Fallen in the trailer for the new season. Despite the extinction-level threat that the Vex pose to humanity, and the new alliance with Fallen Kell Mithrax that Season of the Splicer is introducing, the Destiny 2 community seems far too preoccupied with the four-eyed bug babies to care.

During the Season of the Splicer trailer, a brief clip which appears to be taken from a cutscene shows several Fallen Dregs looking to Mithrax, the Kell of Light, with one clutching three Fallen babies wrapped up in cloth. The plush toys, which are being designed in collaboration with video game merchandise store Numskull Designs, are based off the appearance in the trailer, complete with the cloth wrapping. The plushies may also feature glow-in-the-dark eyes and are expected to be 10 inches in size.
Because the plush toy has only just been announced as being in development, the Bungie Store has clarified that details are subject to change. They are currently listed on the Bungie Store for $777,777.77, but a proper price will be announced eventually. In the meantime, Destiny 2 players can sign up to be notified by email as to when these will be in stock.
Plenty of artists within the Destiny 2 community took to Twitter to share their fan art celebrating the Fallen babies. For Bungie’s weekly “This Week At Bungie” blog, an entire section was dedicated to artwork of the Fallen babies. Bungie also previewed some upcoming patch notes for Season of the Splicer in the blog post and revealed that the Destiny 1 Hung Jury Scout Rifle would be returning.
Despite the Fallen being one of humanity’s greatest enemies, since the Beyond Light expansion, many Destiny 2 players have had a change of heart over how the Eliksni are treated. After a tenuous alliance with Variks saw players take down Eramis and her House Salvation councillors, it is great that Bungie is finally pushing players to ally more closely with the Fallen in Season of the Splicer thanks to Mithrax. Hopefully the Fallen and Guardians can reach a lasting peace that will allow players to spend even more time fawning over the little Eliksni babies.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S
